President and Senior Consultant

Ryan Liu has formal training and experience in the development and auditing of business processes as well as in the design, maintenance, and testing of information systems and controls. He has over 12 years of direct experience in systems audit and I.T. risk management, with a focus on network security. Ryan brings a strong blend of business and technical qualifications to provide cost effective solutions for a broad spectrum of business information systems.

Ryan has worked in the Risk Management practice of a “Big 5” global accounting and professional services firm where he performed general security consulting for some of the largest companies in Canada including Ontario Hydro, BC Hydro, Westcoast Energy, Nortel Networks, Microsoft, Onvia.com, Future Shop, Group Telecom, Credit Union Central of BC, and Dairyworld Foods. Ryan played a key role in the development and implementation of a national Network Penetration Testing methodology. Ryan also acted as Information Security Officer for a major Canadian power utility where he was responsible for overall protection of data and systems.

Procyon Security Group

Steven Schnider is a co-founder of Procyon Security Group and Principal Security Architect. He has been involved with information technology systems since 1979, and has specialized in information security technology since 1987. He previously held senior technical positions with Certicom, LGS/DOMUS Security, Hughes Aircraft and the security development team at Bell-Northern Research. Steven’s interests lie in secure wide-area networking, networked applications and pervasive computing. He holds Government of Canada secret security clearance and is a qualified security professional under the Communications Security Establishment's Information Technology Infrastructure Security and Protection Services supply arrangement.

Procyon Security Group

Tom Sellgren is a Procyon Security Group Principal specializing in Security Policy and Security Risk Management. He has over 10 years experience in IT security. He was previously the Director of IT Security for the Government of British Columbia and worked on all aspects of IT, physical and personnel security. Tom’s expertise includes: developing strategic plans and comprehensive security policy as well as doing threat and risk assessments. He has managed both IT security development projects and security operations. He holds Government of Canada secret security clearance and is a qualified security professional under the Communications Security Establishment's Information Technology Infrastructure Security and Protection Services supply arrangement.

In order to bring a wide range of skill and experience to our clients, Magnitude CG has formed strategic partnerships with other security consultants in the Greater Vancouver Area. These consultants will act as sub-contractors on Magnitude CG projects wherever their expertise is required.

WaveFront Consulting Group Ltd.

Rui Pereira is the founder of the WaveFront Consulting Group. He has over 20 years of experience in the Information Technology field, the last six of which have been in Information Security. Rui has provided Information Security consulting services to a wide range of local organizations, both in government and private enterprise. Some of the projects undertaken include:

• security reviews and penetration tests;
• security architecture design and implementation;
• assistance with ongoing security operations and management;
• security investigations and audits;
• threat/risk assessments;
• security policy design and review;
• project management and deployment of various security solutions, including firewalls, IDS's, single sign-on, and centralized authentication;
